Rutoken for Windows is a ready-made solution that allows to introduce hardware two-factor authentication and email protection in networks built on the basis of Microsoft server operating systems without serious financial and time costs. Rutoken is the key information carrier
Rutoken electronic identifier or smart card are personal means of authentication and data storage. An electronic identifier or a smart card is used to store certificates and present them during authentication or in the process of electronic signature and encryption of electronic correspondence. Electronic identifiers and Rutoken smart cards are designed taking into account modern requirements for information security devices. The main difference between the Russian token and foreign analogues is the hardware implementation of Russian standard for electronic signature, hashing and encryption. The Rutoken electronic identifier is a small USB fob, that is convenient to carry on a keychain. Unlike a smart card, the token does not require a smart card reader to work, otherwise the devices are identical in functionality.

Security
There are serious reasons to store data in the Rutoken memory, and not on a hard disk or other carriers:
